Satire about demagogue Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, who was recently suspended by a judicial ethics panel for his refusal to obey a federal court order to remove his Ten Commandments stone monument from the Alabama Judicial Building rotunda for violating the First Amendment barring the establishment of religion.

Moore's Slabs Of Rock
(Sung to the tune of "I Am A Rock" by Simon & Garfunkel)

(instrumental intro)

They took away...
His stone slabs of Ten Commandments.
Just hear Roy Moore's zealots moan.
Praising Bible scripture ain't a public show.
So the fed'ral court decreed those slabs must go.

Moore's slabs of rock... violate Constitution.

Caterwauled...
Slab worship by the righties.
But logic will not penetrate.
Fed buildings aren't for worship;
Courts have made that plain.
The First Amendment, Moore chose to disdain.

Moore's slabs of rock... violate Constitution.

Can't squawk enough...
Well, we've heard his words of war.
Moore's judgeship now a memory.
His stubborness a blunder;
Unyielding, he defied
All his colleagues;
Now Judge Roy Moore might be tried.

Moore's slabs of rock... violate Constitution.

We have law books.
What his zealots keep forgetting:
That Moore's zeal gives him no ar-ar-mor.
His slabs got the broom.
Though Roy Moore may fume.
Not much was won, but he spun "victory."

Moore's slabs of rock... violate Constitution.

He's got rocks in his brain;
Roy's unwise to advertise.
