Mr. Brown Could Not Control Flood Water
(Sung to the tune of "Mrs. Brown, You've Got A Lovely Daughter" by Herman's Hermits)

Satire inspired by the call by the New Orleans Times-Picayune newspaper to fire the incompetent, out of touch Chief of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Michael Brown, a Bush crony appointed to the job with no disaster management experience after being fired as a lawyer for the International Arabian Horse Association. Due to public outcry, Brown has since been relieved of command from coordinating relief efforts related to Hurricane Katrina, and has recently resigned as head of FEMA.

As sung by enraged citizens of New Orleans:

(instrumental intro)

Mr. Brown could not control flood water.
Was so slow; incompetence so rare!
Things so bad, the world... sees right now
He quit; had enough; it ain't no good to whine.

New Orleans needs food and much fresh water.
Brown's an inept creep who just passed blame.
Nothing's changed, he is still... clueless now.
He quit; had enough; it ain't no good to whine.

Talkin' about... refugee crowd... hell!
Throw this bum out; what a joke, in a cloud!

We just find that Bush has used deceit, too.
Tell Bush we're not well, nor feelin' fine.
Don't let up, don't say Bush... had no part:
Funds cut down for levees; Bush, it's no good to whine.

Bush and Brown could not control flood water...
Bush and Brown could not control flood water...
Bush and Brown could not control flood water...
Bush and Brown could not control flood water...
