Denounced, The Despised Dim Son
(Sung to the tune of "House Of The Rising Sun" by The Animals)

Satire inspired by Dubya's criminal incompetence in remaining on vacation and bungled federal relief efforts while widespread death and destruction befell New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina

(instrumental intro)

He is denounced in New Orleans;
We all despise Dim Son;
We must pin the ruin on Crawford's "chore boy."
Vacation King just spun.

Another bout of failure;
Fiasco by all means;
Didn't follow through or have a plan.
Drowned was New Orleans.

Shrub's a clueless king; a city bleeds;
When the levees broke, got sunk.
Yet he took his time, said he's satisfied
With the job Brown did, which stunk.

(organ solo)

Dead mothers and drowned children;
What our foolish leader's done.
Expended lives, spread sheer misery.
Bush denounced, despised Dim Son.

Bush is no good; you can't transform
His regime; which justs spreads blame.
You can't bring back old New Orleans.
Bush errors; lives were claimed.

He is denounced in New Orleans;
We all despise Dim Son;
We must pin the ruin on Crawford's "chore boy."
Vacation King just spun.
