After Their Drubbing
(Sung to the tune of "After The Loving" by Englebert Humperdinck)

(instrumental intro)

The Republicans weep, after their drubbing.
They got hung at the polls; sent away.
Bush the Dope must now fear
This could lead to his own impeachment day.

Extra hard is his pain;
Bush the King now is reeling.
Place by place, his support has run dry.
Now the Shrub hasn't much,
And he's found booing voices greet his lies.

Bush mistakenly... thought he'd rule through point of a gun.
No mistakes does he... admit he's done.

The Republicans weep, after their drubbing.
The Bush flacks despair, and they cry.
Dubya Shrub's a disgrace.
Voters really don't want more troops to die.

Bush just "knows... he's not wrong."
He's not saying... anything new.
But after the drubbing.
We're thrilled that Shrub is through.

Yes, after the drubbing.
We're thrilled that Shrub is through.
Yes, after the drubbing.
